Shocking Abduction and Assault Case in Uttar Pradesh

Recent incidents in Uttar Pradesh have raised alarms about the safety of women and girls. A 19-year-old was abducted and gang-raped by her former partner and his associates, while a seven-year-old girl was found dead in a mall basement after being befriended by a suspect. Lalitpur (Uttar Pradesh), July 16: A disturbing case of betrayal and sexual violence has emerged from Lalitpur district, where a 19-year-old woman was reportedly kidnapped by a man she had been in a relationship with for four years. The police reported that she was gang-raped by him and his accomplices while being transported in a vehicle.

Details of the Case

According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kalu Singh, initial investigations indicate that the victim willingly accompanied the accused, Badal Raja. However, her mother filed a complaint stating that her daughter was forcibly taken away by Raja and two of his friends.

During the ordeal, the victim managed to contact her sister, pleading for assistance. Her family quickly initiated a search and located her in a distressed state near the railway station, subsequently bringing her to the police.

Police Action and Arrests

Following the complaint, law enforcement registered a First Information Report (FIR) and assembled a special investigative team. Two suspects were apprehended, while a third unidentified individual was captured during a police encounter, sustaining a leg injury in the process. He is currently receiving medical care.

Authorities recovered a .315 bore country-made pistol, an empty cartridge, a live cartridge, a mobile device, a liquor bottle, and the vehicle used in the crime during the encounter.

The police confirmed that the suspects will be presented in court based on the evidence collected thus far, and further investigations are ongoing.

Another Disturbing Incident

In a separate incident highlighting the alarming trend of violence against women and girls in Uttar Pradesh, a seven-year-old girl was discovered deceased in the basement of an under-construction mall in Ghaziabad's Raj Nagar Extension. One of the suspects had befriended her, often playing with her and her siblings while offering them treats to gain their trust.

The child's body was found early Saturday morning, and a post-mortem examination revealed she had been raped before her death, which was caused by a head injury. An FIR has been filed following a complaint from her family.
