A Call for Unity and Joy
On the occasion of Holi, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made a heartfelt appeal for peace. Celebrating the festival at his residence in Bhopal, he emphasized that Holi teaches us to embrace the joys of life rather than engage in conflict. He remarked that this festival encourages people to let go of grievances and instead celebrate with colors. Chouhan expressed a desire for an end to the bombings from the skies, advocating for a shower of colors instead. He stated that colors symbolize love, joy, unity, and harmony, urging everyone to immerse themselves in the vibrant hues of happiness rather than the stench of gunpowder.
Chouhan's remarks come amid escalating tensions in West Asia, following the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei by the United States and Israel. In retaliation, Iran launched attacks on U.S. military bases in Tel Aviv, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar, putting the region in serious jeopardy. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his delight at the festive atmosphere during Holi, noting that even amidst global turmoil, this festival brings joy and enthusiasm.
While addressing the Narasimha Shobha Yatra, the Chief Minister praised India's strong leadership, stating that the nation celebrates Holi at a time when the world is engulfed in chaos and unrest. He highlighted that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India is celebrating this festival with joy and enthusiasm, emphasizing that there is neither fear, chaos, nor distrust here.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister lauded the RSS as the 'world's largest cultural organization' and announced that processions would be held to commemorate its centenary. He noted that the RSS has been home to millions of propagators and volunteers dedicated to the respect, pride, and glory of Hindus, as well as the traditions of India's eternal religion and the unity and integrity of the nation.
