CJP's Meeting with Union Ministers
In a related development, representatives from the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) met with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh for nearly two hours. They reported that the government requested until Saturday afternoon to consider their demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. CJP National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka mentioned that the government showed preliminary approval for two additional requests: compensation for families of NEET aspirants who tragically took their own lives and the withdrawal of FIRs against protesting students.
Future Discussions Planned
JP Nadda confirmed that further discussions with CJP representatives are scheduled for Saturday, following the government's internal review of the demands and reform proposals presented by the group.
End of Hunger Strike
These developments follow climate activist Sonam Wangchuk's conclusion of a 26-day hunger strike, which ended after he received a written commitment from the Union government regarding reforms in the competitive examination system.
