Corruption Trial Begins for Sheikh Hasina and Associates


Dhaka: The trial concerning corruption allegations against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, along with 17 other individuals, commenced on Wednesday in a Dhaka court. This case revolves around a housing plot scam, as reported by various media outlets.


During the proceedings, Afnan Jannat Keya, an assistant director at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the complainant, provided testimony in front of Judge Md Rabiul Alam at the Special Judge's Court-4 in Dhaka.


In a related matter, ACC Deputy Director Md Salahuddin, who is also a complainant in a separate graft case, presented his statement to Judge Alam regarding another case involving Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, and Tulip Siddiq.
