Gierts noted the impressive confidence and instinctive gameplay of emerging stars like Ishika and Sunelita Toppo, who have quickly made their mark with their dynamic playing style, according to a press release from the Hockey India League (HIL).

Having represented Belgium internationally for over ten years and being one of the few women to coach a men's team at a high level, Sofie believes that Indian players contribute a unique flair to the sport.
