Severe Weather Triggers Tornado Warnings in Northern Missouri
Tornado Activity Reported in Missouri
As severe weather sweeps through northern Missouri, multiple areas are currently under tornado warnings, as reported by the National Weather Service (NWS). So far, at least two tornadoes have been confirmed on the ground, with initial sightings occurring in Mercer County and subsequently near Unionville in Putnam County. Storm chaser Clint Hendricks Jr shared footage that appeared to capture a tornado forming and intensifying outside Unionville. The NWS has cautioned that the tornado near Unionville has the potential to cause significant damage and has advised residents in the impacted regions to take necessary precautions.
