On Saturday evening, Delhi-NCR experienced heavy rain accompanied by strong winds. The daytime temperature reached 39 degrees Celsius, but it is expected to drop to a maximum of 37 degrees and a minimum of 26 degrees on May 3. Winds of 40-50 kilometers per hour and light to moderate rain are anticipated in Delhi-Noida and surrounding areas in the afternoon and evening. This weather pattern is expected to continue into May 4, with intermittent rain and storms lasting until May 5, bringing pleasant weather to the NCR.
Weather Conditions in Bihar
In Gopalganj, Bihar, heavy rain on Saturday provided temporary relief from the scorching heat but also caused significant waterlogging. The weather department has indicated that relief from the heat will continue over the next two to three days due to ongoing rain and storms. Alerts for heavy rain have been issued for several districts including Khagaria, Munger, Banka, Bhagalpur, and Araria, with red and yellow alerts in place for Sunday due to expected winds of up to 60 kilometers per hour.

On May 3, the weather in Uttar Pradesh is expected to be quite severe. The weather department has issued alerts for thunderstorms and heavy rain in several districts, particularly in Meerut, Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Mathura, Agra, Barabanki, Saharanpur, Kanpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Gonda, and Sonbhadra. The capital, Lucknow, is also expected to see significant weather changes, with maximum temperatures around 34 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures around 23 degrees Celsius. While the storms will provide relief from the heat and humidity, residents are advised to exercise caution when going outdoors.
