Serious Corruption Allegations Against SDM Ajit Pratap Singh in Pilibhit
Corruption Claims in Pilibhit District
Pilibhit: In the Puranpur tehsil of Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit district, serious allegations of corruption have been leveled against Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ajit Pratap Singh. A group of lawyers gathered at the tehsil premises to protest against the SDM, submitting a memorandum to the district magistrate that detailed various accusations. The lawyers claim that SDM Ajit Pratap has unlawfully collected fees related to Section 80 files and has engaged in illegal resolutions in multiple cases.
Additionally, there are allegations of a significant illegal soil mining operation occurring under the SDM's protection. The lawyers further asserted that despite the auction of a dilapidated building, it has not been demolished, and the contractor's security deposit has not been confiscated despite violations of the terms.
The memorandum also calls for action against the SDM, who has been stationed in the tehsil for two years. The legal community argues that this corruption is hindering regional development projects and misusing government funds.
The lawyers have urged the district administration to take immediate action against SDM Ajit Pratap Singh and demand a fair investigation to hold him accountable. This news is being reported widely. There are indications that the administration may take swift action on the matter.
