A troubling incident has emerged from Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh, where two young men are accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl enrolled in a computer training program in Dhalpur. Reports indicate that the suspects also filmed the assault and subsequently threatened the victim, according to police statements.
The victim's mother filed a complaint after her daughter had not attended classes for nearly a month. When pressed for an explanation, the girl eventually disclosed the traumatic event to her family.
She recounted that on April 10, two classmates, identified as Neeraj and Nomish, allegedly lured her to their room and assaulted her. They purportedly recorded the incident and warned her against revealing it to anyone.
Upon learning of the incident, the family contacted law enforcement and lodged a formal complaint. The police have since opened an investigation into the matter.
Authorities confirmed that, due to the victim's status as a minor, the case has been registered under the stringent provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, specifically invoking Section 6.
Madan Lal, a police official, stated that the case was initiated based on the victim's mother's complaint and emphasized that the investigation is being conducted with the highest priority. He assured that strict legal measures will be enforced against the accused.
