Increased Security for Terrorist Leaders

In the wake of a shooting incident that left terrorist Dr. Hamza Burhan severely injured in Muzaffarabad, heightened security measures have been observed around key figures of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Notably, Muzamil Hashmi, a US-designated terrorist and prominent LeT commander, was seen leading a meeting at Markaz Aqsa in Gujranwala, Pakistan, under strict security protocols. Images from the event reveal a heavily fortified setting, with an armed guard positioned directly behind Hashmi.

The security for LeT leaders has been escalated following the attack on Burhan. The 27-year-old, who has been linked to various terrorist activities in Kashmir, was shot in the Gojra bypass area on Thursday afternoon. Initially reported dead by local authorities, subsequent intelligence indicated he was alive and was transported to the Combined Military Hospital in Muzaffarabad in critical condition after medical personnel detected signs of life.

Burhan suffered multiple gunshot wounds, including two to the head, and underwent emergency surgery amidst tight security. He had reportedly entered Pakistan with valid documentation before aligning himself with the Al-Badr terror group and was known to have connections with several notorious deceased terrorists, such as Abu Dujana, Abu Qasim, Burhan Wani, and Zakir Musa.
