Security Heightened in Delhi Amid Cockroach Janta Party Protest

As the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests at Jantar Mantar, Delhi Police have heightened security across the capital. With paramilitary forces deployed and senior officers overseeing operations, the authorities are ensuring public order. The protest, led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, has prompted extensive security measures at key locations, including the airport and railway stations. Officials are monitoring social media and coordinating with cab services to track movement patterns. Despite the heightened security, Metro services will continue to operate normally, ensuring smooth commuter movement. Originally a satirical response to judicial remarks, the CJP has evolved into a significant online movement.

New Delhi, June 6: In response to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest that commenced at Jantar Mantar on Saturday, Delhi Police and paramilitary forces have been strategically deployed throughout the capital.

Sources indicate that approximately 40 companies of paramilitary personnel are assisting the Delhi Police in maintaining order.

High-ranking officials, including Joint Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Additional DCPs, and ACPs from various districts, have been assigned to oversee security measures.

Earlier today, the CJP confirmed it had received authorization to conduct the demonstration at the specified protest site.

Led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, the protest has resulted in increased security measures throughout central Delhi, particularly at Indira Gandhi International Airport, major railway stations, inter-state bus terminals, and border entry points to neighboring states.

Authorities have established multiple layers of barricades at sensitive areas, and vehicle inspections have intensified on routes leading to central Delhi and other critical locations.

Security has also been bolstered outside the residence of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a precautionary step.

According to police sources, senior officials have assessed the security landscape and instructed field units to remain alert. Reserve forces are on standby to address any emergencies.

The Special Branch is actively monitoring developments across all districts to prevent any disruptions to public order disguised as part of the protest. Social media activity related to the event is also under scrutiny.

Additionally, police are collaborating with private cab services to analyze movement patterns and identify any unusual spikes in bookings towards Jantar Mantar and surrounding areas.

Upon arriving in Delhi, Dipke went directly to Jantar Mantar instead of checking in at the Parliament Street Police Station. The CJP had previously urged its supporters to gather at the designated protest site.

Officials have assured that Metro services will continue to function normally, with adequate measures in place to facilitate commuter movement and avoid disruptions to public life.

Authorities have confirmed that sufficient security protocols are established and that the situation remains stable.

Initially created as a satirical response to comments made by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant during a court session last month, the Cockroach Janta Party has transformed into a well-organized online movement with a significant following on social media.
