In Khagaria, Bihar, a security guard was shot late Saturday night while allegedly trying to thwart a theft at a construction site. According to police reports, the incident occurred around 1:30 AM at the toll plaza being built under the Agwani-Sultanganj four-lane project.


Details of the Victim

The injured guard has been identified as Masa Singh, a resident of Tarn Taran in Punjab, who was deployed through a private agency. Pramod Kumar, the officer in charge of the Parbatta police station, stated that law enforcement arrived promptly after receiving news of the shooting. He mentioned, "The area has been cordoned off, and a forensic team has been called in to gather evidence."


Investigation Underway

Authorities are investigating the incident from multiple angles and are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspects. Singh reported to the police that he had seen two suspicious individuals entering the construction site with the intent to steal. He recounted, "When I raised an alarm, one of the suspects fired a shot that hit my leg."
