Recent Drone Discovery in Samba District

In the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have successfully recovered another suspected drone. Military officials reported on Sunday that this marks the second incident of drone recovery in this border district within a week. Following this discovery, security agencies have intensified their surveillance and investigation efforts in the area to thwart any attempts of smuggling or infiltration from across the border.

According to officials, late Saturday night, personnel from the territorial army spotted a suspicious Pakistani drone in the fields of Sangar village in the Purmandal area and seized it. The drone has now been sent for forensic analysis. Experts will examine it to determine its origin, technical specifications, and whether it was involved in any suspicious activities related to cross-border operations.

The trend of drone sightings in Samba district shows no signs of abating. Previously, on July 14, another drone was recovered from an open field near Devak village in the same district. In light of these ongoing incidents, security forces remain on high alert and have increased patrols in border areas.
