Major IED Recovery in Jharkhand

On Friday, security personnel uncovered 30 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the forest area of West Singhbhum district, as reported by a police official.

The officer indicated that these IEDs were likely concealed by a banned Maoist organization.

The recovery took place in a section of the forest that falls under the jurisdiction of the Toklo police station. Police Superintendent Rakesh Ranjan received intelligence suggesting that the Communist Party of India (Maoist) had hidden a significant cache of explosives in the woods adjacent to the Toklo police station and Dalbhanga police outpost.

In response, the Superintendent organized a large-scale search operation, deploying a joint team comprising CRPF, Jharkhand Jaguar, SSB, and district armed police.
