Security Forces Continue Crackdown on Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir

In a continued effort to combat terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have arrested two suspected aides of terrorists during operations in Baramulla and Pulwama. The suspects were found with weapons and incriminating materials. Authorities are now investigating their networks and potential plans. Ongoing Operations Against Terrorism

In Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces are actively pursuing operations against terrorism and its associated networks. Recently, on Sunday, two individuals suspected of aiding terrorists were apprehended during separate operations in the Baramulla and Pulwama districts. Authorities reported that the detained suspects were found in possession of weapons, ammunition, and other incriminating materials.


Details of the Arrests

The first suspect has been identified as Ejaz Ahmed Ganai, who was arrested by a joint team of police, army, and paramilitary forces near a vehicle checkpoint in the Shiri area of Baramulla around midnight. Officials revealed that a pistol, ten 9mm cartridges, a magazine, and a mobile phone were seized from Ganai.


In another operation, security forces detained a second aide in the Rajpora area of Pulwama during a routine check.


Further Investigations

Authorities indicated that a grenade and objectionable posters were recovered from the possession of the second suspect, identified as Tauseef Ahmed Dar, leading to his arrest. A case has been registered against Dar under relevant sections of the law.


Legal Proceedings Underway


Officials confirmed that legal action has been initiated against both suspects under applicable laws. The security forces are currently interrogating the detainees to uncover their networks, associates, and potential plans in the region.
