Security Alert at Sri Ganganagar Court Following Bomb Threat
Bomb Threat Causes Panic at Court
Jaipur, March 25: A bomb threat sent shockwaves through the Sri Ganganagar Court premises after an anonymous letter warned of an impending explosion. The letter, dispatched from a fake address in Kolkata, raised alarms among officials.
On Wednesday morning, a bomb disposal unit from Bikaner was deployed to the court, leading to heightened security measures throughout the complex.
A police team, including the Superintendent of Police (SP), quickly arrived at the location. The bomb squad, along with a canine unit, meticulously searched every corner of the court facilities.
The thorough inspection covered the entire complex, including the chambers in Blocks C and D, as well as the offices of judicial officers. Court activities resumed only after the bomb disposal team confirmed the area was safe.
In the meantime, security agencies have initiated an investigation to trace the origin of the threatening letter. The Cyber Cell and Postal Department are collaborating to identify the sender, who used a Kolkata address.
As a precaution, security measures have been intensified. All entry and exit points, along with internal checkpoints within the court complex, are under strict surveillance. Officials are on high alert and will respond promptly to any suspicious behavior.
Notably, just days earlier, on March 10 at around 11:30 a.m., the Passport Office in Sri Ganganagar, located within the Post Office complex, also received a bomb threat via email. A bomb disposal team was called in to search the premises, but no dangerous items were discovered, allowing the office to resume normal operations the following day.
