Panic Erupts at Mau Railway Station
On Monday, chaos ensued at the Mau railway station in Uttar Pradesh after authorities received alarming reports of an explosive device on train number 15018, which was traveling from Gorakhpur to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai. In response to the threat, security agencies were placed on high alert, creating a tense atmosphere throughout the station. Immediate measures were taken to ensure the safety of passengers.
Police and Security Teams Respond Promptly
Superintendent of Police Ilmaran and Additional Superintendent of Police Anup Kumar arrived at the scene with police teams. Inspector Anil Kumar Singh coordinated with GRP and RPF personnel to swiftly evacuate the train and relocate passengers to safe areas. Subsequently, a bomb disposal squad was summoned to conduct a thorough inspection of the train.
Comprehensive Search of Train and Platforms
According to officials, each compartment of train number 15018 is undergoing an extensive search. The platform area and surrounding locations have also been secured to prevent any movement. This sudden evacuation caused panic among travelers; however, the administration urged the public to remain calm and follow instructions, making continuous announcements. Security agencies remain on high alert, and the train will only be allowed to depart once the investigation is complete and the area is declared safe.
Bomb Threat Emails Sent to Schools in Noida
Police reported that several schools in Noida received bomb threat emails on December 19, which were later determined to be false. Additional Police Commissioner (Gautam Buddha Nagar), Rajiv Narayan Mishra, informed reporters that some schools in Noida had received threats regarding bomb attacks on their premises.
