School Closures in Uttar Pradesh and Other States Due to Cold Wave

School Closures Announced

In Uttar Pradesh, all educational institutions will remain closed until January 5 due to the ongoing cold wave. Following directives from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, government schools, as well as those affiliated with ICSE and CBSE, are mandated to stay shut until this date. Similarly, schools in Delhi will observe winter break from January 1 to January 15.


In Punjab, winter holidays will be in effect from December 22 to January 10, while Haryana will have a break from January 1 to January 15, 2026.

Jammu and Kashmir:


Class 1-8: December 1 to February 28


Class 9-12: December 11 to February 22


Andhra Pradesh:


According to the academic calendar for 2025-26, missionary schools will have Christmas holidays from December 23 to December 27.


Telangana:


Missionary schools will be closed for Christmas holidays from December 23 to December 27, 2025.


Central schools will remain closed from December 23 to January 1, 2026.
