The host of the Today show took to Instagram to share a message alongside an image illustrating Christ's ascension, conveying her unwavering hope for her mother's safe return. The post included the heartfelt words, "Oh my, my soul it cries out, soul, it cries out," followed by a plea: "Bring her home."

Nancy Guthrie, aged 84, vanished from her Tucson, Arizona home on February 1. Authorities suspect she was kidnapped by a masked individual who entered the residence in the early morning hours. Investigators have indicated that ransom notes sent to local media outlets bolster their belief that Nancy was taken against her will, though no suspects have been publicly named.

In a May update, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that his department, along with the FBI and forensic labs, are diligently working on the case. "I think every day they get closer," Sheriff Nanos remarked. He noted that there is still significant work to be done regarding the physical evidence collected, including mixed DNA samples from the scene that are currently being analyzed to identify a potential suspect.
