Satnam-Salman Achieve Bronze in Men's Double Sculls

The duo of Satnam Singh and Salman Khan earned a bronze medal in the men's double sculls final at the Asian Games 2026, held in Aichi-Nagoya on Thursday. They completed the race with a time of 6:13.25, finishing 3.48 seconds behind the gold medal-winning Chinese team of Yi Xudi and Nie Yide, and 2.76 seconds behind the silver medalists Mekhrojbek Mamatkulov and Pavel Sorin, according to reports. Throughout the race, Satnam and Salman held the second position at the 500m, 1000m, and 1500m marks but lost momentum towards the end, trailing by just half a second at one point behind the Chinese competitors.

Balraj Panwar Falls Short of Podium Finish

In the men's singles sculls event, Balraj Panwar narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing in fourth place. He was in second position at the 500m, 1000m, and 1500m checkpoints but was overtaken by Uzbekistan's Shakhboz Kholmurzaev and Japan's Tatsuya Sakurama in the final 500m. Despite having a five-second lead over Sakurama before the last stretch, Balraj ended up finishing eight seconds behind him, clocking a time of 6:54.80, which was 15 seconds slower than the gold medalist Zhiwei Deng from China.
