Inauguration of Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025

The Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025 was launched with great excitement at the Central Railway Ground in Bhusawal, aimed at showcasing grassroots sporting talent from the Raver Lok Sabha constituency. The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, who ignited the ceremonial torch, symbolizing the start of this significant sporting event, as stated in a press release. The opening ceremony was marked by high energy, discipline, and a strong sporting spirit. A colorful march-past featuring participating athletes, stunning Mallakhamb displays, and lively performances of the traditional Dhangari folk dance enthralled thousands of attendees.

In his address to the young athletes, Raksha Khadse emphasized, "This Mahotsav is not just a competition; it serves as a solid foundation for the future of sports in India. Notable Guests at the Ceremony

The inauguration was graced by several distinguished guests, including senior leader and MLA from Malkapur, Chensukh Sanchiti; MLA from Raver, Amol Jawale; and the newly elected Chairman of the Shendurjni Municipal Council, Shri Govind Seth Agrawal. District Sports Officers Shri Ravindra Naik (Jalgaon) and Shri Laxmishankar Yadav (Buldhana), along with prominent coaches, officials, and sports administrators, were also in attendance.

More than 6,500 athletes from 10 talukas within the Raver Lok Sabha constituency, including Yawal, Bodwad, Jamner, Bhusawal, Chopda, Muktainagar, Malkapur, Nandura, and Raver.

Competitions for Under-17 and Under-19 boys and girls.

Sports Disciplines

Events include Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Football, Boxing, Badminton, and Athletics (Running, Shot Put, and Javelin Throw).

Duration

The event will take place from December 23 to December 25, 2025.
