Sanjay Singh Distances AAP from Upcoming Protest, Backs CJP's Cause
Clarification on Protest Organization
Ballia (UP): On Friday, Sanjay Singh, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), made it clear that the upcoming protest scheduled for October 10 in Delhi is being organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and not by AAP, although he confirmed that AAP members would still take part in the event.
While addressing the media in Sikandarpur after attending a memorial service for senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Govind Chaudhary, Singh emphasized that the protest aims to safeguard democracy.
He stated, "The CJP protest is focused on preserving democracy. We were also involved in the protest on October 2. A nationwide movement is planned for October 10 to address issues like vote theft, abolish the Special Intensive Revision process, annul state elections alleged to be marred by irregularities, include the Chief Justice of India in the selection process for the Chief Election Commissioner, and ensure elections are conducted nationwide using ballot papers."
Singh reiterated that the demonstration in Delhi is a CJP initiative, a youth-driven social movement, and not an AAP-led event.
"This is not our protest; it belongs to the CJP. Last time, various parties participated, including the Samajwadi Party, Left parties, Biju Janata Dal, and us. Everyone will join the CJP protest," he added.
When questioned about the protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and a potential meeting of INDIA bloc leaders with President Droupadi Murmu, Singh remarked that everyone has the right to protest in their own manner.
