In a recent press conference, Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut condemned the BJP for the defection of AAP MPs, likening the party to the insatiable demon Bakasura. He criticized the BJP's shamelessness and warned that the opposition remains strong despite the departures. Sanjay Raut's Strong Condemnation of BJP
Sanjay Raut, a Rajya Sabha MP from Shiv Sena (UBT), expressed sharp criticism of the BJP on Saturday regarding the recent defection of MPs from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He labeled the BJP as a party of insatiable hunger, drawing a parallel to the mythical demon Bakasura from the Mahabharata. During a press conference, Raut condemned the joining of Raghav Chadha and two other AAP MPs into the BJP, branding the party as 'shameless.'
Raut stated that the nature of BJP's politics is well-known, describing it in one word: shameless. He emphasized that there is no sense of shame among them, as individuals like Raghav Chadha, who were once allies, openly claimed that the BJP is a party of goons, rogues, and corrupt individuals. He remarked that these individuals have now joined a party filled with such elements, likening it to Bakasura, whose hunger is never satisfied.
He further asserted that the BJP has transformed into a party of Bakasura, consuming everything in its path. Raut mentioned that seven individuals, including Raghav Chadha, have joined this hellish party, expressing no regret over their departure. He warned that they would soon realize what hell truly is, asserting that the opposition will never weaken. The six or seven individuals who left are not public figures but rather social media personalities.
These comments from Raut followed a significant blow to the AAP when several Rajya Sabha MPs, including Raghav Chadha, were officially welcomed into the BJP after being removed from their positions. Chadha announced a split within the party, claiming that two-thirds of AAP members would merge with the BJP.
Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak, and Ashok Mittal announced their decision to leave the AAP and join the BJP. BJP President Nitin Nabin welcomed their decision. AAP leaders reacted sharply to this development, while the BJP celebrated the new additions. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva described it as a natural progression, and Nitin Nabin welcomed the Rajya Sabha members at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. Nabin extended his best wishes on social media, urging the seven MPs to work towards the goal of a 'developed India by 2047.'
