Strengthening Support for Athletes

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has bolstered its support for the Indian team participating in the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 by implementing various logistical and athlete assistance initiatives. A specialized Reception and Assistance Team, which includes members from the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), SAI, and the Indian Embassy in Japan, has been stationed at the airport. Their role is to greet athletes, coaches, and support personnel upon arrival, assist with entry procedures, and offer refreshments and guidance for their journey to the Games venues and accommodations.

New Support Initiatives

SAI has rolled out several initiatives to enhance the contingent's experience, including:

1. **Transport for Shooters**: Dedicated transport services are available for Indian shooters to facilitate their travel to and from competition sites.

2. **Medical Team Mobility**: Vehicles have been arranged for medical teams to ensure they can swiftly move between venues and provide necessary medical assistance.
