Sachin Pilot Calls for Accountability Amid NEET-UG Exam Controversy
Pilot Demands Action on NEET-UG Paper Leak
On Wednesday, Congress leader Sachin Pilot stated that Rahul Gandhi's upcoming visit to Kota is aimed at addressing the NEET-UG exam paper leak issue. He emphasized that Gandhi's call for protests will unite the youth across India in demanding accountability. Speaking to a news outlet, Pilot insisted on the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak controversy.
Pilot highlighted that the nation is facing a significant challenge, as the paper leak has betrayed countless families, rendering their hard work futile. He noted that Rahul Gandhi is coming to ensure accountability for this fraud. The education minister should have resigned by now, and Gandhi's appeal will rally youth not just in Rajasthan but throughout the country to demand responsibility.
These remarks from Pilot came as Rahul Gandhi urged students and young people nationwide to participate in the "Echo of Students" mega rally scheduled for June 17 in Kota. He asserted that the future of the youth will determine the future of the country, with the protest set to commence at 5:30 PM in Kota.
In a post on social media, Gandhi accused the central government of failing to fulfill its responsibilities towards the youth. He criticized issues such as paper leaks, mismanagement of exams, canceled recruitments, rising fees, privatization, and corruption. Gandhi stated, "My young friends and Gen Z peers, it is clear to me, and you should also internalize this: securing the future of every youth in India is the government's responsibility. However, accountability and integrity are beyond the Modi government's understanding."
He further elaborated that paper leaks, exam mismanagement, canceled recruitments, skyrocketing fees, privatization, and scandals are ways in which millions of dreams are shattered daily. He reminded everyone that the future of the youth will shape the future of the nation. Therefore, he called upon them to transform the 'Echo of Students' from every street, town, and city into a powerful movement in Kota on June 17.
