RSS Leader Calls for Patience Amid Ayodhya Temple Donation Scandal
Response to Alleged Misappropriation of Donations at Ayodhya Temple
In light of the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, Dattatreya Hosabale, the General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), expressed that this incident is unfortunate. He urged the Hindu community to exercise patience and restraint during this challenging time. Hosabale remarked that the theft from the donation boxes at the Shri Ram Lalla Temple has hurt the sentiments and devotion of the entire society and Ram devotees, leaving many disheartened.
The issue of alleged financial misconduct at the temple came to light on June 7. An FIR was filed on June 25 based on the preliminary report from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) established by the Uttar Pradesh government. So far, eight individuals associated with the donation counting process have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
Discussing the ongoing investigation led by the SIT, he emphasized the importance of ensuring that anyone found guilty faces strict punishment. He stressed the need to eliminate the current atmosphere of confusion and uncertainty.
Call for Unity and Resilience
He further expressed hope that the temple management and the administration's Special Investigation Team (SIT) would take all necessary actions. Hosabale also appealed to the entire Hindu community to maintain essential patience and composure during this difficult period and to thwart the attempts of anti-Hindu and anti-national forces that may seek to exploit this unfortunate incident to tarnish the image of Hinduism and society.
