Roundglass Hockey Academy Shines at Hockey India Awards 2025

The Roundglass Hockey Academy has been honored with the Hockey India President Award for Outstanding Achievement 2025, recognizing its vital role in promoting hockey in Punjab. Additionally, goalkeeper Princedeep Singh received the Jugraj Singh Award for Upcoming Player of the Year, marking him as a rising star in Indian hockey. The academy's leadership expressed their commitment to nurturing talent and revitalizing Punjab's hockey legacy, emphasizing their dedication to grassroots development and world-class training facilities. RGHA Receives Prestigious Hockey India Award

The Roundglass Hockey Academy (RGHA) has been awarded the esteemed Hockey India President Award for Outstanding Achievement 2025 during the 8th Hockey India Annual Awards. This recognition celebrates its significant role in grassroots development and the resurgence of hockey in Punjab.


Princedeep Singh Honored as Upcoming Player of the Year

In a remarkable evening for the academy, goalkeeper Princedeep Singh was honored with the Hockey India Jugraj Singh Award for Upcoming Player of the Year 2025 (Men - U21). This accolade reinforces his position as one of the most promising young talents in the nation.


The Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, presented the prestigious President Award. A notable delegation from the academy, including Sarpal Singh, Founding Director of Roundglass Sports; Rajinder Singh, Technical Lead of RGHA (an Olympian and Dronacharya Awardee); Ashfaque Ullah Khan, Senior Lead of Hockey Operations; and Harbinder Singh, a three-time Olympic Medallist, received the award on behalf of the academy.


Reviving Punjab's Hockey Legacy

Sarpal Singh, the Founding Director of Roundglass Sports, reflected on this achievement, stating, "This award symbolizes our relentless commitment to restoring the golden era of Punjab hockey. We have dedicated ourselves to developing world-class facilities and fostering grassroots-level growth throughout Punjab. Dedication to Developing Future Stars

Princedeep Singh, who became part of the academy in 2022, has consistently showcased his skills as a goalkeeper. His impressive journey recently led him to join the Indian Men's Hockey Team for the FIH Men's Junior World Cup and the senior team, highlighting the effective high-performance pathway established by RGHA.


The Hockey India President Award for Outstanding Achievement underscores Roundglass Sports' dedication to cultivating elite talent and establishing sustainable sports ecosystems.
