Support and Donations
During the event, Rotary member Anupama Singh generously donated an induction cooktop for the residents' use. The interaction extended beyond material support, as members assessed the facilities available at the home, including accommodation and food.
Commitment to Ongoing Support
The Rotary Club members assured the women that their involvement would not be limited to this one occasion. They expressed their commitment to continue visiting and supporting the residents regularly.
Understanding the Needs of Residents
Currently, around 15 women reside at Swadhar Grih, a facility that offers shelter and support to those who have faced various hardships, including separation from families or destitution. The home aims to provide a safe environment and essential support.

Plans for Economic Empowerment
President Akhilesh Bharti stated that the club aims to go beyond mere annual visits and is exploring projects that will empower these women economically. He expressed the desire to identify activities suited to their abilities, enabling them to earn an income and achieve independence.
A Broader Message
The Independence Day celebration conveyed a message that transcended the ceremonial aspects. It underscored the importance of providing not just shelter and material aid, but also dignity, opportunities, and pathways for these women to reintegrate into society.
