Jay Shah's Praise for Rohit
ICC Chair Jay Shah expressed his excitement on social media, stating, "It’s my honor to announce that @ImRo45 is the tournament ambassador for the upcoming @T20WorldCup in India & Sri Lanka. There can be no better representative for the event than the winning captain of the 2024 T20 World Cup, and a player who has participated in all nine editions so far."

Following India's victory in 2024, which ended an 11-year wait for an ICC trophy, Rohit announced his retirement from T20 cricket.
