In a shocking incident in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, a young man took revenge for his father's death by brutally murdering an elderly man with an axe. Following the incident, local police arrived at the scene, secured the body, and sent it for an autopsy while initiating an investigation.


Details of the Incident

The horrific murder occurred in the Bhaingaon area of the Beniganj police station jurisdiction. Witnesses reported that the victim, known as the village head, was attacked in broad daylight. This man had previously been imprisoned for 14 years for the murder of a person named Satypal in 2009, and had only recently returned to the village after working in Delhi.


The Attack

Just days after returning, the village head was confronted by Satypal's son, Suraj, who was seething with anger over his father's murder. On Monday morning, as the village head walked through the alley, Suraj, along with his accomplices, launched a deadly assault on him with sticks and the axe, leaving him bleeding on the ground.


Police Response

Upon receiving news of the attack, local police rushed to the scene and transported the injured man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Following this brazen act of violence, Superintendent of Police Neeraj Jadon and senior officials arrived to assess the situation. A forensic team was dispatched to collect evidence, and the body was sent for a post-mortem examination.


Ongoing Investigation

Superintendent Neeraj Jadon confirmed that several individuals, including both men and women, were involved in the assault that led to the man's death. It has been reported that there was a longstanding dispute between the two parties. Police have detained four men and three women in connection with the murder.
