In a troubling incident reported from Kota, a retired soldier has been arrested following allegations of attempting to assault his daughter-in-law. The victim recounted that every time she went to the bathroom, her father-in-law would follow her and watch her from behind. The situation escalated when he allegedly grabbed her from behind and attempted to force himself on her. The daughter-in-law managed to escape after shouting for help and immediately informed her husband about the incident, leading to the filing of a police report.

Details of the Case

The incident took place in the Ramganjmandi area, where the accused, a 55-year-old retired army personnel, was living with his daughter-in-law while her husband was away in Jaipur preparing for competitive exams. The victim, aged 22, explained that her mother-in-law often left for work, leaving her alone with her father-in-law, which made her uncomfortable due to his inappropriate behavior.

Initially, she tried to ignore his actions, but they became increasingly intrusive. The situation reached a breaking point when he attempted to assault her. After escaping, she sought refuge at her parental home and demanded justice.

Family's Reaction and Police Response

Following the filing of the complaint, the victim expressed frustration over the delay in the arrest of the accused. She returned to her parental home and continued to seek justice.
