Tragic Incident in Chanduali District

On Thursday evening, a retired police officer reportedly shot and killed his brother during a dispute over land and an old loan taken in their mother's name in the Chanduali district's Sadar Kotwali area, according to police sources.


The retired officer, identified as Dangal Yadav, had an ongoing conflict with his lawyer brother, Kamla Yadav (55), regarding the land issue and the loan.


Sources indicate that the altercation escalated, leading Dangal Yadav to fire three shots from his licensed revolver at his brother, hitting him twice in the head and once in the chest.


Kamla Yadav succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Prior to the shooting, the two had reportedly argued inside the court premises earlier that afternoon.


The body of the deceased has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Following the incident, local lawyers initiated protests, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused before the post-mortem proceedings commenced.
