Rescue Operation Saves Three Women and Driver from Car Accident in Uttarakhand

A dramatic rescue operation unfolded on the Kedarnath National Highway in Uttarakhand when a car plunged into a 50-meter gorge. Authorities quickly mobilized to save three women from Maharashtra and their driver. Despite challenging weather conditions, the rescue team successfully retrieved all four individuals from the wreckage. They were later identified and taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. This incident highlights the swift response of local authorities in emergency situations.
 

Car Plunges into Gorge on Kedarnath Highway

On Saturday evening, a car fell into a 50-meter deep gorge on the Kedarnath National Highway in Uttarakhand. Authorities reported that police and rescue teams successfully saved three women from Maharashtra along with their driver.


The vehicle went off the road near the Jurani Barrier, situated between Guptkashi and Gaurikund. According to officials, the traffic team was the first to alert about the incident.


Personnel from the Guptkashi police station, Fata outpost, and traffic police quickly arrived at the scene to initiate the rescue operation. Despite heavy rainfall, the rescue team managed to retrieve all four individuals from the damaged vehicle.


The rescued pilgrims were identified as Sushma, Sadhana, and Lata, all residents of Maharashtra. They have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
