Vinod Kumar Shukla's Health Deteriorates

Vinod Kumar Shukla, a celebrated author from Chhattisgarh and recipient of the Jnanpith Award, has been admitted to the hospital following a decline in his health. His son, Shashwat Shukla, informed a news agency that the 89-year-old was hospitalized at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Raipur after experiencing health issues on December 2.


Previous Health Concerns

Earlier in October, Shukla faced breathing difficulties, which led to his admission to a private hospital in Raipur. After showing signs of improvement, he was discharged and continued his recovery at home. However, on Tuesday, his condition worsened significantly, prompting his transfer back to AIIMS Raipur for further treatment.


Celebrated Literary Contributions

Vinod Kumar Shukla is known for his notable works, including novels such as 'Naukri Ki Kameez', 'Khilega Toh Dekhenge', 'Diwar Mein Ek Khidki Rahti Thi', and 'Ek Chuppi Jagah'. He was honored with the 59th Jnanpith Award during a ceremony held at his residence in Raipur on November 21.
