RCB Secures Dominant Win Over Delhi Capitals in WPL Match

In a thrilling encounter at the Women's Premier League, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured an impressive eight-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals (DC). Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll were the stars of the match, leading RCB's chase of 167 runs. Despite a shaky start, RCB's strong partnership ensured their unbeaten run continued. Meanwhile, DC struggled with their batting, finishing at the bottom of the points table. RCB Continues Unbeaten Streak

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) maintained their impressive form, achieving an eight-wicket victory against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai during the 11th match of the Women's Premier League (WPL).


Mandhana and Voll Shine in Chase

Smriti Mandhana was a key player, scoring 96 runs off 61 balls, which included 13 boundaries and three sixes. Georgia Voll also contributed significantly with an unbeaten 54 runs from 42 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes.


Despite losing opener Grace Harris for just 1 run early in the innings, RCB recovered well, forming a strong partnership of 142 runs off 91 balls. This partnership was crucial in keeping RCB's unbeaten record intact in the WPL 2026. Although Mandhana was dismissed in the closing stages, Voll's performance ensured RCB crossed the finish line with 10 balls to spare.


DC's Batting Struggles

Earlier in the match, Delhi Capitals struggled, getting bowled out for 166 runs in their allotted 20 overs. They faced a tough situation at 74/6 after losing key players including wicketkeeper-batter Lizelle Lee (4), Laura Wolvaardt (0), captain Jemimah Rodrigues (4), Marizanne Kapp (0), Niki Prasad (12), and Minnu Mani (5).


Shafali Verma was the standout performer for DC, scoring 62 runs off 41 balls, supported by Sneh Rana (22) and Lucy Hamilton (36), which helped the team reach a total of 166.


Bengaluru Bowlers Excel

Lauren Bell was instrumental with the ball for RCB, taking three wickets for 26 runs in four overs. Sayali Satghare also made a significant impact, claiming three wickets in her three overs.


WPL Standings Update

This victory solidified RCB's position at the top of the WPL points table, while Delhi Capitals found themselves at the bottom, managing only two points from four matches.
