Shastri Commends Modi's Leadership

On Wednesday, former Indian cricket coach and player Ravi Shastri extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for becoming the longest-serving Prime Minister in India's history. He emphasized that the nation's global standing has significantly improved under Modi's guidance.

Modi has now surpassed Jawaharlal Nehru, serving 4,399 consecutive days in office, a record previously held by Nehru at 4,398 days.

Shastri Highlights India's Global Growth

In a message shared on X, Shastri remarked that India has gained unprecedented stature and confidence on the world stage. He noted that his extensive travels have shown him the respect India commands internationally. "Congratulations to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on becoming the longest-serving Prime Minister of India. Over the past decade, #India has grown in stature and confidence on the global stage like never before. Having travelled extensively around the world, I can say from personal experience that the respect and recognition India commands today is truly remarkable," he stated.

Earlier that day, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan also congratulated Prime Minister Modi for achieving the status of the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India's history, surpassing Nehru. He described this milestone as indicative of a transformative era in the nation's development.
