A Unique Case in the Region
Jindal claims that this is the first instance in the state of bringing in the rare Punganur breed. These cows are just 19 months old and have attracted significant attention, with many local dignitaries, including Mahant Dheeraj Giri Maharaj and former state minister Kunwar Sanjay Singh, visiting to see them. Mahant Dheeraj Giri Maharaj has even requested the procurement of more cows of this breed.
Characteristics of the Punganur Breed
This breed is physically small but is on the brink of extinction. Its diminutive size and unique qualities have made it quite famous. The urine and dung of these cows can also be sold for a good profit.
