Mohammed Shami, Musheer Khan, and Ravindra Jadeja also made significant contributions. However, established players KL Rahul (4) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (0) struggled to make an impact for Karnataka and Mumbai, respectively.

In Elite Group A, Uttar Pradesh batted first against Bihar. After a shaky start at 85/3, centuries from Madhav Kaushik (124* off 252 balls, including five fours and three sixes) and Rinku Singh (109* off 164 balls, with eight fours and three sixes) propelled UP to 287/3, forming an unbeaten partnership for the fourth wicket.


In another match, Vidarbha faced Puducherry, initially struggling at 54/5. However, Yash Rathod (131* off 167 balls, with 11 fours and a six) and captain Akshay Wadkar (112* off 225 balls, with 13 fours) helped Vidarbha recover to 300/5 by the end of the day. In Group B, Karnataka's KL Rahul made a return but was dismissed early. With the team struggling at 22/4, Smaran's impressive 126 off 218 balls, along with Krishnan Shrijith's 58 off 82 balls, helped Karnataka reach 274 runs. Andhra Pradesh ended the day at 16/2, trailing by 258 runs.
