Rajnath Singh Highlights Modern Warfare Challenges

On Saturday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh delivered a speech at the Combined Graduation Parade held at the Indian Air Force Academy (AFA). He cautioned the newly commissioned military officers about the evolving nature of modern warfare. Singh emphasized that major powers no longer hold the decisive advantage they once did on the battlefield, as emerging technologies and innovative strategies enable smaller forces to inflict significant damage.

While addressing the parade, Singh noted that advancements in technology have transformed the dynamics of warfare. He stated, 'In the past, it seemed that larger powers had a decisive edge in combat, but now comparatively smaller forces can also cause substantial harm with their compact yet lethal weapons and new tactics. My aim is to prepare you mentally for every form of warfare.'

He also congratulated the female pilots joining the Indian Air Force, highlighting that their inclusion has made the force more powerful, balanced, and robust, showcasing the strength of an inclusive military. Singh pointed out the Indian Air Force's success in high-risk rescue operations and its role in ensuring the safety of foreign nationals during crises. He remarked, 'The Indian Air Force has enhanced the reputation of Indian culture and values during humanitarian missions.'
