Rajasthan Launches Drug Awareness Campaign to Combat Addiction

Rajasthan Government's Initiative Against Substance Abuse

In a significant move, the Rajasthan government, under the guidance of District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav and District Superintendent of Police Mr. Harishankar, organized a drug awareness program at Government Higher Secondary School 17 JED in Sadulshahar. This initiative is part of the 'Nasha Mukti' (Drug-Free) campaign aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of substance abuse.

During the event, Mr. Vikram Jiyani emphasized the importance of family support, stating that addiction not only affects the individual but also shatters the dreams of their loved ones. He urged the youth to recognize that their families are waiting for them to succeed, not fail. He highlighted that while they should be pursuing their dreams in schools, colleges, or workplaces, addiction can derail those aspirations.

Jiyani passionately appealed to the youth, asserting that overcoming addiction is crucial for winning hearts, bringing joy to parents, and earning respect in society. He noted that addiction disrupts not just one life but impacts the entire family, robbing mothers of sleep, wasting fathers' hard work, and filling sisters' eyes with worry. He called for a commitment to build a life strong enough to resist the temptations of drugs.

Principal Mr. Pankaj Kumar added that returning home means bringing back the hopes of parents. The youth present pledged not only to refrain from substance use themselves but also to encourage their friends and families to stay away from drugs. They vowed to play an active role in making their villages and communities drug-free.
