In a separate case, Jyoti Malhotra from Haryana was arrested for allegedly sharing sensitive information with a Pakistani national. She reportedly visited the Pakistan High Commission and traveled to Pakistan multiple times, raising alarms about security breaches. The investigations continue as authorities seek to uncover the full extent of these espionage activities.

A government employee in Rajasthan has been taken into custody for questioning amid suspicions of espionage for Pakistan, as reported by local police sources on Wednesday.


Unannounced Visit to Pakistan


The individual, stationed in Jaisalmer, reportedly traveled to Pakistan without notifying his department. There are claims that he may have political ties in the area.


Authorities are currently interrogating the employee, whose identity and the reasons for his visit remain unverified.


In light of ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, several arrests have been made recently concerning individuals accused of spying for Pakistan.


Previous Arrests Linked to Espionage

Jyoti Malhotra's Case


In a related incident, Jyoti Malhotra from Hisar, Haryana, was apprehended for allegedly disseminating sensitive information and maintaining ongoing communication with a Pakistani national.


Malhotra is under investigation for reportedly sharing intelligence with the Pakistani side. She is said to have met a Pakistani officer named Ahsan-ur-Rahim in Delhi, traveled to Pakistan on two occasions, and provided sensitive data.


Visit to Pakistan High Commission


During initial inquiries, Malhotra disclosed to the police that she visited the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi in 2023 to apply for a visa, where she met Ahsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish. After exchanging contact details, she began conversing with him and made two trips to Pakistan. Officials noted that she claimed Ahsan-ur-Rahim facilitated her travel and accommodation, as well as arranged meetings with Pakistani security and intelligence entities.
