Chief Minister's Commitment to Good Governance

In Jaipur, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that effective governance is achieved through the sensitive, transparent, and timely implementation of public welfare schemes and policies. He stated that a capable, motivated, and satisfied workforce is crucial for this purpose. In line with this vision, the state government has prioritized employee interests by simplifying the promotion process and making significant decisions to strengthen the administrative capacity of the secretariat, thereby boosting employee morale and enhancing governance efficiency.

Recognition for Employee Contributions

On Sunday, the Rajasthan Secretariat Service Officers and Employees Union honored the Chief Minister for granting a two-year experience exemption for promotions and creating new positions. During this event, the Chief Minister remarked that the state government is advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of prioritizing citizens. The secretariat serves as the hub for government policies, plans, and welfare decisions, and every decision made should reinforce the trust of the state's 80 million residents.

Promoting Employee Growth and Development

The Chief Minister highlighted that every employee is pivotal to good governance and a key player in the 'Developed Rajasthan-2047' initiative. The government is committed to providing timely and regular promotions while offering a two-year experience exemption for the years 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27. This provision will benefit employees who have not utilized this exemption in the past three years, with amendments to various service rules to facilitate this change, ensuring timely promotions for thousands of employees.

Enhancements in Gratuity and Pension Schemes

The Chief Minister announced an increase in the gratuity limit from ₹20 lakh to ₹25 lakh, aligning with central government policies. Additionally, provisions for notional salary increments for state employees retiring on June 30 have been established. Pensioners reaching the age of 70 will receive an additional 5% pension allowance, and families of deceased employees will benefit from an extended family pension for ten years.

Support for Women Employees

In a significant move towards women's empowerment, the government has included daughters-in-law in the scope of compassionate appointments. Furthermore, single female employees will now receive child care leave in six phases instead of three, and the establishment of the 'Chief Minister's Child Care Center' aims to create a better and stress-free work environment.

Strengthening the Secretariat's Workforce

To enhance the efficiency of the governance secretariat, the approval for the creation of 149 new positions, including 15 Assistant Secretaries, 67 Assistant Section Officers, and 67 Grade I Clerks, has been granted. This initiative will not only strengthen administrative systems but also create new job opportunities for youth and facilitate departmental promotions.

The Chief Minister urged all employees and officials to adopt new technologies, e-governance, and paperless systems to make administration more efficient, transparent, and welfare-oriented.
