Rahul Gandhi's Journey Disrupted

On Thursday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had to cancel his planned visit to Almora in Uttarakhand due to adverse weather conditions that caused his helicopter to become stranded. Consequently, he returned to Pantnagar Airport midway through his journey. Later, he addressed a public meeting titled 'Parivartan Ka Shankhnaad' via phone, facilitated by Congress General Secretary Kumari Selja.

In a video shared on social media, Rahul expressed his disappointment, stating, "My dear brothers and sisters of Uttarakhand, I wanted to meet you today, to sit among you and listen to your stories, understand your joys and sorrows, your hopes and concerns. Unfortunately, due to severe weather conditions, this was not possible." He mentioned that he had arrived in Pantnagar that morning and was supposed to travel to Almora for the rally, but the pilot refused to take off due to the unfavorable weather.

The Congress leader further elaborated that he had many topics to discuss with the people, including the current situation in Uttarakhand, economic and social issues, and the challenges facing the state and its future. He had also scheduled an important meeting with ex-servicemen in Pauri Garhwal and a visit to Deepak's gym in Kotdwar. He emphasized that nature commands respect, and safety for fellow travelers cannot be compromised. He acknowledged that circumstances do not always align with our desires, but his eagerness to connect with the people remains unwavering.

Rahul assured the audience, "I promise to return to Uttarakhand very soon. When I do, we will take our time to meet, discuss, listen to your thoughts, and work together towards a better future for the state." This public meeting was attended by several senior state leaders, including the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, Yashpal Arya, and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat.
