Call for Immediate Action

In light of the escalating conflict between Iran and the United States, which has repercussions throughout the Middle East, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has urged the Indian government to take immediate and proactive measures to safeguard its citizens. Gandhi expressed his concerns on the X platform, highlighting the alarming rise in hostilities between the US-Israel alliance and Iran. He emphasized that ensuring the safety of every Indian citizen in the Middle East should be the government's top priority. He called upon the Indian authorities to act swiftly to protect its people.

Iran's Missile Attack on US Base

Recently, Iran targeted a US military base in Bahrain with missile strikes. The Iranian embassy in India confirmed this on Saturday, stating that the US base in Bahrain was struck by Iranian missiles. They also released a video showing plumes of smoke following the attack. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran condemned what they termed the "brutal aggression of the Zionist regime," asserting that their attacks are a response to the aggression faced by Iran.

Regional Tensions Escalate

The Iranian embassy further stated that, in the name of Allah, who is known for destroying oppressors, Iran has initiated a significant wave of missile and drone attacks targeting occupied territories in response to hostile and criminal aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to reports from Gulf Times, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had previously intercepted missiles launched by the Iranian military. Amidst a dramatic increase in regional tensions, Israel and the United States have launched a joint operation aimed at neutralizing the existential threat posed by Iran.
