Rahul Gandhi Critiques PM Modi's Speech on West Asia Situation

In a recent Lok Sabha session, Rahul Gandhi sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech regarding the West Asia situation, accusing him of being under U.S. President Trump's control. Gandhi raised concerns about the implications of U.S. trade deals on Indian agriculture and emphasized the need to protect the Constitution for the rights of tribal communities. He also highlighted the financial ties between Modi and Adani, suggesting that these connections compromise Modi's ability to act independently. Gandhi's remarks reflect a broader critique of the BJP's policies towards tribal rights and environmental issues, calling for equal opportunities for tribal communities in India.

Opposition Leader's Remarks in Lok Sabha

During a discussion in the Lok Sabha regarding the situation in West Asia, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition, criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not mentioning the United States. He suggested that Modi is completely under the influence of President Donald Trump. Speaking at a tribal rights constitutional conference in Vadodara, the Congress MP asserted that Modi is unable to engage in parliamentary debate due to his compromised position.

Concerns Over U.S. Influence

Gandhi remarked that he had heard Modi delivered a 25-minute speech but guaranteed that he could not debate in Parliament because he is compromised. He pointed out that Modi did not utter a single word against the U.S. and is entirely under Trump's control, claiming that Modi cannot even make a sound in front of Trump. He further alleged that Trump has a hold over Modi for two reasons: Epstein and Adani, stating that Modi has agreed to follow Trump's orders without consulting anyone regarding oil and natural gas purchases.

Impact on Indian Agriculture

Continuing his critique, Gandhi stated that Modi has opened India's agricultural sector to the U.S. through trade deals. He highlighted the contrast between small farms in India and large-scale farming in the U.S., warning that if American goods flood the Indian market, local farmers would suffer. He emphasized the need to protect the Constitution, which he believes safeguards the rights of India's tribal communities, the poor, and laborers.

Financial Structures and Allegations

Gandhi accused Modi and the BJP of having a financial structure heavily reliant on Adani. He claimed that Modi has handed over ports, airports, cement companies, solar power, wind power, and all infrastructure to Adani. He suggested that the legal issues Adani faces in the U.S. are intended to intimidate Modi, with a direct message from the U.S. that any misstep could jeopardize Modi's career.

A Vision for Tribal Rights

Gandhi expressed a desire for tribal communities in India to receive equal opportunities as others, advocating for their children to attend prestigious colleges and work in major companies. He conveyed deep affection for tribal brothers and sisters within his family and the Congress party. He criticized BJP leaders for referring to tribal people as 'Vanvasi,' arguing that the BJP government is responsible for the ongoing destruction of forests. He accused the BJP of wanting tribal people to remain marginalized and not demand their rights or seek education for their children.
