Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Government's Response to Student Protests

In a recent press conference, Rahul Gandhi sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their handling of student protests. He accused the government of coercing a young girl into apologizing and emphasized the need for political accountability. The BJP responded by condemning the use of children in political narratives and defending their actions during the protests. Sambit Patra, a BJP spokesperson, highlighted the importance of protecting children's rights and urged Gandhi to address the issues faced by youth in Jharkhand. This ongoing political discourse raises questions about the role of children in protests and the responsibilities of political leaders.

Gandhi's Strong Remarks Against Modi and Shah

On Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a fierce critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the government's handling of student protests. He accused Modi of coercing a 15-year-old girl into issuing an apology in a video, labeling it as a forced statement. In response, the BJP asserted that children should not be exploited for political purposes.

BJP's Counterattack

During a press conference, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra emphasized that using innocent children for political gain, as Gandhi has done, is unacceptable. He stated that children represent the future of the nation and should not be blamed for the current situation. Patra addressed the children present with Gandhi, encouraging them to remain fearless and to expose the false narratives that Gandhi is attempting to spread.

Clarifications on the March to Parliament

Patra clarified that during the March to Parliament protest on the 20th, no shots were fired, reiterating the BJP's commitment to transparency on sensitive issues. He also mentioned that children from Jharkhand are protesting and suggested that Gandhi should engage with them to understand their struggles. Patra criticized Gandhi for not addressing the injustices faced by Jharkhand's youth and questioned why he has not visited the state.

Accusations of Disruption in Parliament

Patra further accused Gandhi of causing disruptions in the House, making it difficult for proceedings to continue. He asserted that ministers responsible for discussions are always present, especially during debates concerning the Home Minister's department.

Political Narratives and Unity

Continuing his attack, Patra condemned the practice of creating narratives by placing the burden on others. He referred to a young woman named Muskaan, emphasizing that regardless of her background, she is a daughter of the nation. He stressed that the country thrives on collective efforts of unity and development, criticizing Gandhi's divisive agenda.
