Rahul Gandhi Criticizes BJP's Celebration of Former Education Minister in Parliament
Rahul Gandhi's Strong Remarks on BJP's Actions
New Delhi, July 27 - Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi expressed strong criticism on Monday regarding the celebration of former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan by BJP MPs within the Parliament premises. He described this act as a ‘celebration of the ruin of millions of children's futures.’ In a post on social media platform X, Gandhi stated that Pradhan symbolizes ‘corruption and the devastated education system of India.’
Gandhi further claimed that this very system had led to the deaths of 26 children and forced countless youths to take to the streets. He asserted that Pradhan's resignation was not due to moral reasons but rather out of fear of the youth's anger.
He remarked, ‘And today, the same individual is being honored with garlands in Parliament by the BJP. This is not an honor—it's a celebration of the destruction of millions of children's futures.’ The Congress leader emphasized that every student in the country is watching this and will remember every face involved in this act.
It is noteworthy that after resigning from his position as Education Minister, Pradhan was welcomed by several BJP MPs when he arrived in Parliament for the first time on Monday. Gopalji Thakur, a Lok Sabha member from Darbhanga, adorned him with a traditional ‘pag’ (Mithila cap).
