In the lead-up to the Assam Assembly elections, Rahul Gandhi delivered a powerful speech at a large public gathering in Biswanath. He launched a fierce attack on Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, accusing him of serious corruption and nepotism.

Allegations Against Himanta Biswa Sarma

Gandhi asserted that Sarma has made a grave mistake by involving his family in corrupt practices. He warned that if Congress comes to power, strict legal actions will be taken against him. With a sharp tone, he emphasized that the Chief Minister would not escape accountability and would face imprisonment.

Congress Will Not Spare Himanta

Labeling Sarma as the 'most corrupt Chief Minister' in the country, Gandhi accused him of engaging in politics of hatred. He stressed that Sarma is anxious, knowing that Congress's 'lions' will not abandon him.

Celebrating Assam's Diversity

Highlighting Assam's rich diversity, Gandhi remarked that the state is like a bouquet of flowers, with each community contributing to its true strength. He praised the Gorkha community for their significant contributions, particularly in defending the nation at its borders.

Allegations of Delhi's Control
