On June 14, Afghanistan's wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz encountered a differently-abled individual managing a small stall in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Gurbaz is currently part of Afghanistan's ODI team competing against India.

The first match of the series was held at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, where India, led by Shubman Gill, triumphed over Afghanistan by seven wickets in a rain-affected game. The match was shortened to 25 overs per side due to a delay of over four hours caused by continuous rain.

As both teams traveled to Lucknow for the second ODI, Gurbaz's touching interaction with the street vendor in Dharamshala captured the hearts of many and quickly became a viral sensation.

Gurbaz expressed genuine concern by asking the vendor about his well-being and whether he was able to earn enough to support his family. Before departing, he generously offered money and half-roasted corn to the vendor.

This isn't the first instance of Gurbaz's generosity during his visits to India. During the 2023 ODI World Cup, he was seen discreetly giving cash to homeless individuals in Ahmedabad ahead of the Diwali festival.
