Raghav Chadha Speaks Out After Removal from Deputy Leader Position
Raghav Chadha Addresses His Removal
Raghav Chadha, a prominent leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and a member of the Rajya Sabha, has openly discussed his recent removal from the position of Deputy Leader. In a video shared on the social media platform X, he raised several pertinent questions regarding his role and the issues he has championed in Parliament.
Chadha emphasized that he has consistently represented the voice of the common man in the legislature, addressing various issues that directly impact the public. He stated, "Whenever I get the opportunity to speak in Parliament, I bring up the concerns of the people." He questioned whether raising these issues could be considered a crime, expressing confusion over why the AAP has requested that he be restricted from speaking in Parliament.
He revealed that the party has officially informed the Rajya Sabha that he should not be allowed to speak. "Why would anyone want to silence me? Whenever I speak, I advocate for the common citizen," he remarked, listing various topics he has raised, including overpriced food at airports, the challenges faced by delivery riders, food adulteration, excessive bank charges at toll plazas, and the tax burden on the middle class.
Chadha further questioned, "Why would anyone want to suppress my voice?" He noted that addressing these issues has benefitted the public, yet he wondered what advantage it brings to the party. He expressed gratitude for the support he receives from the public whenever he raises their concerns, urging them to continue standing by him. "I am with you and for you," he affirmed, adding that those who have tried to silence him should not mistake his silence for defeat. "I am like a river that becomes a flood when the time is right."
